Reparación Valvular Mitral En La Cardiopatía Reumática Infantil. Una Realidad Paralela

Rheumatic valve disease remains the most common cause of valve disease in developing countries. Des -pite the technical difficulties in this pathology in children, valve repair has shown better medium and long-term outcomes than valve replacement in children and young adults. We present two clinical cases that illustrate the discussion of the different techniques used in mitral valve repair in this age group.(c) 2021 Sociedad Espanola de Cirugia Cardiovascular y Endovascular.
