Parent-adolescent bonding on interpersonal violence in Bangladeshi adolescents: Evidence from the Global School-based Student Health Survey (GSHS) 2014

•This is the first Bangladeshi study exploring parent-adolescent bonding on interpersonal violence among school-going adolescents.•In Bangladesh, 56 % of adolescents were physically assaulted, and 16% of adolescents were engaged in physical fighting.•Bullying, substance abuse, and psychological distress among adolescents are the triggering factors for interpersonal violence.
