Last news on plant mitochondria-A follow-up of ABR volume 63: Mitochondrial genome evolution

Volume 63 of Advances in Botanical Research "Mitochondrial genome evolution," published in 2012, was edited by Laurence Marechal-Drouard (series editor Jean-Pierre Jacquot, Pierre Gadal). The volume included 12 chapters written by around 30 internationally recognized researchers. In volume 63, the focus was given to the evolution of the mitochondrial genome in photosynthetic organisms, its organization, and its expression. In this chapter, dedicated to volume 100 of ABR, we first summarize the contributions presented in volume 63, then we describe novel findings obtained in the domain of plant mitochondria during the last 10 years.
