The evaluation of pupils' creativity in solving of the inquiry task within Biology lesson was done with a simple coding tool. 53 7th graders participated in the study. The analysis included the evaluation of the correctness as well as the level of creativity in the individual solutions. The overall success rate in solving the task was 47.4% and 37.4% in the point of view of creativity signs. The pupils had the highest success rate in the originality of designing experiment and in the elaboration of the design of the experiment. The pupils also achieved relatively good results in the elaboration of the scheme of the experiment.
