摘要
This paper presents the results on the forming processes identified in several cinerary urns and pottery lids from the cremation cemetery of El Pi de la Lliura (Vidreres, Girona, c. 1017-739 cal BCE). The recognition of ceramic macro-traces allowed us to identify two pottery forming sequences and analyse several issues concerning the relationship between the forming techniques and the types of vessels (cinerary urns, pottery lids and one patera), the time-span of these ways of doing and whether or not there was a relationship between the two forming processes and the age of the individuals buried. These results provide new insights into the technical practices of the community who used this cemetery to bury their deceased members and the role of ceramic vessels on the funerary practices performed in this cemetery.
