Kinetics of human infection with Kyasanur Forest Disease Virus

•This study describes the presence, duration, and kinetics of Kyasanur Forest disease (KFD) virus RNA in bodly fluids of infected human cases.•The cell culture based inactivated whole virus vaccine developed in1970 and currently being used did not show any significant difference in KFD viremia among the vaccinated and unvaccinated when got infected with KFD virus.•This adds to the knowledge on the understanding of the pathogenesis of KFD and contribute to development of appropriate diagnostic assays.
