A Lens Shaped Slot and Parasitic Element Isolated MIMO Antenna for 5G Wireless Applications

As the demand for high bandwidth and high speed is rising newer technologies and techniques such as 5G and MIMO are being developed to address and cater this demand. MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) Technology is very promising in terms of channel capacity enhancement due to which there is an increased adoption for it. This paper proposes a two-port parallel MIMO Antenna with a lens shaped slot, good isolation and good characteristics. The substrate used in the antenna is Rogers RO4350B LoPro (lossy) and the patch has been made with copper (annealed). The parameters of this antenna have been obtained by using CST Microwave Studio.
