Lean blow-off investigation in a linear multi-burner combustor operated in premixed and non-premixed modes

•The stability limits of a linear multi-burner combustor were investigated.•In premixed mode the combustor well reproduced an annular combustor behaviour.•Transitions in flame shape were associated with movement of pockets of OH and CH2O.•The non-premixed mode presented a pattern of extinction/reignition close to LBO.•Stability limits were in agreement with more complex geometries, unlike single burners.
