Coupling relationship between construction land and landscape ecological risk during urban sprawl: a case study of zhengzhou, china

This study analysed the coupling relationship between construction land area and landscape ecological risk based on land use/cove change data in Zhengzhou from 2000 to 2020. The results are as follows: Respectively as the major transferring-out type and transferring-in type of LULC in Zhengzhou, the farmland and construction land with the dominant position in LULC types are respectively decreased by 1,403.02 km(2) and increased by 1,454.71 km(2) from 2000 to 2020. The increase of construction land area and the decrease of farmland area in Zhengzhou have been promoting the gradual reduction of landscape ecological risk value and the year-by-year increasing area of low and inferior ecological risk areas. The construction land area is negatively correlated to the landscape ecological risk value in Zhengzhou.
