摘要

•Bee (Apis mellifera, A. cerana, Bombus terrestris, and B. ignitus) growth-blocking peptides (GBPs) were cloned.•AmGBP was expressed at the larval stage.•RNAi-treatment of AmGBP affected larval development and larval-pupal transformation.
