摘要
•Computer-based treatments can increase access to long-term aphasia interventions.•We incorporated adaptive distributed practice and stimuli variability for anomia treatment in two case studies using existing open-source flashcard software.•Adaptive distributed practice led to learning more words than typically trained in aphasia treatment research.•Stimuli variability did not show meaningful effects on learning or retention of words.•Case results suggest that training people with aphasia to use self-managed computer-based treatments is an efficient use of limited clinic time.
