We demonstrate a 3 x 25 Gbit/s SFP transceiver assembly using 3D-printed optical coupling elements to connect multimode multi-core fibers to linear VCSEL and photodiode arrays. Passive alignment yields average coupling losses below 0.7 dB, ensuring conformity with the IEEE 802.3 power budget. (C) 2022 The Author(s)
