Bioproduction of Cyclic Disulfide-Rich Peptides for Drug Modalities

Cyclic disulfide-rich peptides have extensive applications in drug development. These peptides are widely produced using solid-phase peptide synthesis which generates substantial amounts of toxic and hazardous waste. Recombinant bioproduction platforms for cyclic disulfide-rich peptides offer a more environmentally sustainable alternative.
