摘要

•Polysaccharides from D. officinale Xianhu 2 (DOP) were extracted and characterized.•DOP increased the proportion of benign intestinal microbes.•DOP also decreased the proportion of harmful gut bacteria.•DOP downregulated CRP, CD3, CD4, IL-6, and TNF-α and upregulated C4 levels.•Consequently, DOP could promote human intestinal health.
