Clinical effect of successful reperfusion in patients presenting with NIHSS < 6 and large vessel occlusion

•The benefit of EVT for NIHSS < 6 with LVO is uncertain.•Our report is the first multicenter study comparing the level of reperfusion groups outcome differences post EVT among patients with NIHSS<6.•EVT is effective and safe for treating patients with mild stroke.•Subgroup analyses detected that patients IVT and patients whose vessel occlusion site were MCA, the excellent outcome (3-month mRS 0-1) further improved with TICI3.
