Thermal degradation of hazardous 3-layered COVID-19 face mask through pyrolysis: Kinetic, thermodynamic, prediction modelling using ANN and volatile product characterization

摘要
•Hazardous COVID-19 facemask was used as a feedstock for pyrolysis.•Kinetic results revealed single step reaction followed by 3LFM during pyrolysis.•D4 [g(α)=1-(2/3)α-(1-α)2/3] is the required reaction mechanism of pyrolysis of 3LFM.•Experimentally determined and ANN predicted values are very close to each other.•GCMS analysis revealed higher hydrocarbons and lower oxygenated compounds.
