A system-of-systems (SoS) perspective on additive manufacturing decisions for space applications

This paper presents an update on the current state of AM adoption in space applications and its key advantages and challenges, as context to why AM adoption decisions in space applications should be tackled as a system-of-systems domain problem. It also articulates the need for and proposes features for an AM-use decision-making framework for space applications.
