Age and evolution of the Nanyangshan rare-metal mineralized pegmatite revealed by cassiterite U-Pb geochronology and tourmaline chemistry

•The Nanyangshan pegmatite crystallized at 410 Ma and were superimposed at 370 Ma.•The hidden granites evolved to the pegmatite through fractional crystallization.•The Tur B and Tur P record the evolution history of the Nanyangshan pegmatite.•Tourmalines could be used during as explorations tools.
