摘要
•Closed distal femur fractures about a TKA demonstrate a high rate of non-union, 14% at 6-month follow-up.•Patients experienced reduced mobility with only 82% being ambulatory after fixation, with 16% still wheelchair bound at 6 months after surgery.•As the number of annual TKA continues to rise, injuries involving those prosthetics will continue to rise.
