Adsorption study of non-ionic ethoxylated nonylphenol surfactant for sandstone reservoirs: Batch and continuous flow systems

摘要
•The adsorption of solutions containing ethoxylated nonylphenol on sandstone rocks was determined.•Higher degrees of ethoxylation provide lower adsorption capacity (q) of the surfactant in the rock.•The Redlich-Peterson model was the best fit for batch adsorption, indicating monolayer and multilayer adsorption.•For the study of the adsorption flux, the Thomas and Yoon-Nelson models had good adsorption capacity adjustments.
