Studying spectroscopic, cyclic voltammetry, and electrical properties of novel 4-amino antipyrine derivative for photonic applications

摘要
•A novel 4-amino antipyrine derivative was successfully synthesized for possible applications in photonic devices.•The diffuse reflectance spectra and the specular transmittance were used to obtain the optical transitions.•The photoluminescence spectra were used to obtain the emission spectra of the new compound.•The HOMO, LUMO, and energy gap were found to be −5.73 eV, −3.3 eV, and 2.43 eV, respectively.•The dark dc electrical resistivity activation energy (ΔE) was found to be 0.96 eV for both heating and cooling processes.
