Characteristics of vaginal dilators available for online consumer purchase

Background: Vaginal dilation is a mainstay of treatment for creation of a vagina, maintaining patency following surgical vaginoplasty or septoplasty, and pelvic floor physical therapy. While some providers may have specific dilator recommendations for patients, the options for purchase online have not previously been described. Thus, we designed a study to identify and describe the majority of vaginal dilators available for purchase online for customers in the United States.
