Targeted delivery approaches for synthesis of plant based nanoparticles as anticancer chemotherapeutics

Natural resources, with their immense structural variety, continue to be a vital source of fresh, novel chemical entities with therapeutic usefulness. Current therapy regimens require selective drug targeting to increase action on cancer cells while reducing harm to normal cells. Modified medications and drug delivery systems based on nanotechnology are being developed and launched into the market for better cancer therapy and management, with promising outcomes. This study highlights nanotechnology-based drug delivery vehicles as well as a few targeted delivery methodologies for the manufacture of plant-based nanoparticles that can be further investigated for the creation of more anticancer medications.
