摘要
The extinct lacewing family Mesochrysopidae (Neuroptera: Chrysopoidea), particularly its adult stage, is rarely found from the amber inclusion. Here we re-describe the species Burmotachinymphes bilobata (Mesochrysopidae: Tachinymphinae), which is one of the two mesochrysopid species hitherto known from the Cretaceous amber, based on a new female specimen with better preservation condition from mid-Cretaceous Burmese amber. New morphological data on the antenna, prothorax, and female genitalia is added to this species. Furthermore, the distinctive morphological characters of B. bilobata with significant phylogenetic relevance are discussed.
