摘要
Autoimmune atrophic gastritis (AAG) is an organ-specific disease which causes atrophy of the gastric oxyntic mucosa [1]. AAG has subtle clinical manifestations, responsible for substantial diagnostic delay [1]. As AAG often clusters with other autoimmune diseases [2] and predisposes to the development of type I gastric neuroendocrine tumours and gastric adenocarcinoma [1], it should be promptly diagnosed. The most common AAG-related manifestations are due to vitamin B12 deficiency [1]. Clinical manifestations may revert after supplementation [3].
