Mathematical modeling of a freight electric locomotive gearing

摘要
The article is devoted to the problem of increasing the failure rate of the traction reducer of the 2ES6 freight electric locomotive. By modeling the Ishikawa diagram, the main detailed reasons for the failure of the traction gear were identified. After that, research directions were proposed to reduce failures, one of which is: the assessment of the existing one and the development of an improved gear transmission of the 2ES6 freight electric locomotive. The authors in their studies prove that the operated gear transmission has a number of design errors and offers a solution - correction of the displacement coefficients in order to fit the gear into the center distance. To automate the calculation, the application “Shafts and mechanical transmissions” of the KOMPAS-3D system was used. The strength and geometrical data of the gear transmission of the 2ES6 freight electric locomotive meeting all reliability requirements have been obtained. Calculated for durability confirming the correctness of the data obtained.
