Liver Resuscitation With Hypothermic Oxygenated Perfusion After Donation in Asystolic Type Iii With Regional Perfusion in Normothermia: A Case Report About First Experience in Spain

•The evident increase in the number of donors that has been experienced in recent years has its explanation in the expansion of donor acceptance criteria; this implies a greater risk of complications in the graft, fundamentally due to ischemia-reperfusion injury.•The Hepatobilipancreatic Surgery and Transplant Unit of the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital has carried out the first liver transplant in Spain that has been maintained and optimized with a perfusion machine under oxygenated hypothermia conditions extracted from a donor in type asystole 3.•We want to value this fact, which is why we present it for publication.
