摘要

•A new iflavirus (RdIV2) identified in leafhopper Recilia dorsalis.•RdIV2 was commonly found in south China.•RdIV2 is not detect in green leafhopper Nephotetlix cincticeps, N. virescens and N. nigropictus.•RdIV2 is co-infected with Rice stripe mosaic virus, a well-known pathogen transmitted by R. dorsalis.
