The authors analyzed a large cohort of women with PAS disorders from the Pan-American Society for Placenta Accreta Spectrum. Women with PAS with both an antenatal diagnosis and confirmed histopathologic findings were included. The authors reported that only 44.6% of those women had delivery in the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine–recommended gestational age window for PAS disorders (34+0 to 35+6 weeks), whereas 58% delivered before 34 weeks’ gestation. When stratifying the analysis according to the severity of PAS, as defined by histopathologic analysis, the risk for unscheduled delivery was even higher for those pregnancies complicated by placenta percreta. 1 Salmanian B Einerson BD Carusi DA et al.
