Quantitative study on the influence of non-acoustic factors on annoyance due to floor impact noise in apartments

•Non-acoustic factors affecting annoyance due to floor impact noise were classified into three groups.•Correlation between all non-acoustic factors and annoyance due to floor impact noise is statistically significant.•Group related to noise source affected annoyance due to floor impact noise the most.•Awareness of the neighbors’ living patterns contributed most to affecting annoyance due to floor impact noise.
