Magnitude of hemorrhagic complications and its associated factors among patients on anticoagulant therapy at University of Gondar Comprehensive and Specialized Hospital, Northwest Ethiopia

•A quarter of patients who had been on anticoagulant therapy experienced bleeding complications.•Hemorrhagic complications related to anticoagulant therapy were prevalent.•Close monitoring of coagulation profiles as well as minimization of risk factors is crucial.•For the benefit of patients with thromboembolic disorders, all concerned health care stakeholders and providers must work together to improve the quality of care.
