摘要
This work aims at studying the wear properties of titanium microalloying Carbidic Austempered Ductile Iron (CADI) and the refining mechanism of TiC on M3C carbides by theoretical calculation and experimental analysis. The wear tests were carried out by a wet rubber wheel wear tester. Computed results showed that TiC particles could precipitate previously in melt to refine the M3C eutectic carbides, and M3C (010)/TiC (011) interface is stable. Experimental results showed that TiC particles were formed. The shape of M3C eutectic carbides changed from net-like to strip-like after titanium microalloying, which improved the wear resistance of CADI. For CADI, the strip-like or dot-like carbides could protect the matrix more effectively than net-like due to the decrease of exfoliation.
