摘要
•The green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) was made by a Syzygium aromaticum (clove) extract to be (Sa-AgNPs).•The formulated Sa-AgNPs bind to the negatively charged head of ZCSE5 bacteriophage.•The biosynthesized silver nanoparticles Sa-AgNPs showed a significant antibacterial, and antibiofilm activities.•There is a synergestic effect between the formulated Sa-AgNPs and bacteriophage against Salmonella typhimurium.•The formulated Sa-AgNPs were safe to blood cells and human skin fibroblast cells.
