摘要
This paper investigates the age of information (AoI) of non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) aided mobile edge computing (MEC) offloading, while taking into account the temporal dynamic task arrivals. However, the inherent interaction of queues induced by concurrent offloading renders an entangled analysis. To this end, we first propose a numerical iterative algorithm to decoupling the queuing process, and then we derive closed-form expression for the AoI violation probability. It is interestingly found from simulations that the superiority of NOMA-based offloading in terms of average AoI heavily hinges on the task arrival rate. Moreover, the amelioration for AoI violation probability by utilizing NOMA-based offloading distinctly differs among each device. The analysis sheds light on the critical impact of task arrivals on AoI performance in NOMA-MEC offloading systems.
