New chromones from the roots of Saposhnikovia divaricata (Turcz.) Schischk with anti-inflammatory activity

•Fifteen undescribed compounds were isolated from the roots of Saposhnikovia divaricata.•The structures were characterized chemically by NMR and ECD data analysis.•The anti-inflammation activities were evaluated and the anti-inflammatory mechanisms of 8, 12, and 13 were examined.
