The antibacterial effects of terbium vanadate-silver peroxide nanostructures against surgical wounds infected by Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections in a rat model

摘要
•TbVO4-AgO nanocomposites were prepared by precipitation method.•Glucose was used as the green and biocompatible capping agent to prepare TbVO4-AgO nanocomposite.•The antibacterial properties of TbVO4-AgO nanocomposites againstPseudomonas aeruginosaandStaphylococcus aureuswere investigated.•In animal test step with making a wound in mouse we investigated anti-bacterial properties of ointment made by nonosized material.•TbVO 4 -AgO nanocomposites with concentration of 8 mg/ml inhibited the growth of 50% of cells (IC50 = 8000 µg/ml).
