Optimal Reactive Power Dispatch of Distribution Network Considering Voltage Security.

Given the voltage fluctuation of the distribution network caused by renewable energy, a reactive power optimization scheduling method with the cooperative participation of distributed generations (DGs) and reactive power compensation devices is proposed. Firstly, the method proposed in this paper calculates the voltage security index and determines the location to install reactive compensation devices such as the capacitor banks and static var generator. Then a reactive power optimization model of the distribution network is built, in which DGs and reactive power compensation devices work together. Then, the adaptive adjustment and quadratic strategy are integrated into the traditional particle swarm optimization (PSO) to overcome the prematurity. Finally, simulation is carried out in the modified IEEE 33-node system, and the results show that the model and algorithm can improve power quality and reduce line loss.
