Dynamics of Extremely Short Pulses in an Anisotropic Optical Medium with a Two-Level Impurity System Using Glauber’s Approach

摘要
A study is performed of the propagation of extremely short optical pulses in a two-level impurity system with carbon nanotubes and anisotropic optical properties. A system of effective equations for the vector potential of the electromagnetic field and pseudospin is derived on the basis of Maxwell’s equations, along with kinetic equations for the average values of pseudospin operators obtained according to Glauber. The effect the system parameters (temperature and vector of polarization’s angle of inclination to the CNT axis) have on the spatial characteristics of a extremely short pulse is analyzed.
