摘要
The paper demonstrates frequency dependence of acoustoelectric current generated in thin film of an organic semiconductor, regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene) spin coated on surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices. The acoustoelectric (AE) effect assists in the hopping of charges by transfer of wave momentum and energy, and increases current in presence of SAW. The current was observed to enhance dominantly at the resonance frequency of the device, while it was also observed to spread around the resonance frequency attributed to maximum wave energy transfer at resonance and nominal transfer at other frequencies. The AE effect was independently studied in different piezoelectric substrates generating Shear horizontal and Rayleigh SAW, in order to verify the observed phenomenon.
