An analytical formulation to model geometric and resonant scattering of buried metabarriers for traffic-induced vibrations mitigation

摘要
•A novel buried metabarrier composed of pipe-like resonant units is proposed.•An analytical formulation is derived for capturing multiple resonance and geometric scatterings of the metabarrier.•Mitigation mechanisms of the metabarrier for ground-borne vibrations are investigated and the capabilities of the proposed formulation are verified.•Multiple bandgaps are obtained by coupling the Bragg-type bandgap due to spatial periodicity of pipes and the resonance-type bandgap due to inside resonators.•The effects of metabarrier geometric dimension on its resonance behavior are investigated.
