Abstract #1324294: Central Precocious Puberty in a Young Boy Associated with Bilateral Optic Pathway Glioma in Neurofibromatosis Type 1: A Case Report

摘要
Precocious puberty refers to sexual characteristic development before the normal age for its development. Neurofibromatosis type 1 is an autosomal dominant condition with a wide spectrum of clinical phenotype of which precocious puberty is common. This case report highlights the importance of recognizing this disease in patients presenting with precocious puberty and screening for optic pathway gliomas should be done and treat it to prevent the future chances of permanent blindness, neurologic disability, and gonadotropin deficiency.
