A novel broad-spectrum (anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritic and anti-S. aureus/MRSA) topical drug compound for mild to moderate atopic dermatitis

Treating all aspects of atopic dermatitis (AD) presents both patients and doctors with complex decision-making related to risk and benefit. A novel drug substance (NDS) containing several bioactive compounds has demonstrated multiple mechanisms of action that may possess anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritic and anti-bacterial activity, three key clinical aspects of AD. We hypothesize that NDS may demonstrate relief of the broad spectrum of AD clinical complaints with limited side effect concerns.
