Optimization of coal procurement and transportation decisions based on improved genetic algorithm

Abstract The cost of coal in thermal power generation accounts for more than 70% of the cost of power generation, coal consumption is high, and the high price of coal has a significant impact on the profitability of power plants. In this paper, a model is developed for the purchase and transfer of coal from thermal power plants and a genetic algorithm is used for the optimal decision making.
