Abstract
Intracranial electroencephalography (iEEG) performed in patients with epilepsy showed amygdala-hippocampus signal coherence was correlated with mood. This study investigated whether amygdala-hippocampus coherence is predictive of mood in patients with major depressive disorder (MDD), who do not have epilepsy, and the effects of deep brain stimulation on coherence and mood.
