Limitations of surgical navigation in minimally invasive surgery for colorectal cancer

Background: Surgical navigation could give direct benefits due to an improvement in the quality of surgery. Well-targeted and guided cancer resection could improve patient survival, lead to a significant reduction of intraoperative complications and improvement of patient quality of life by reducing the incidence of nerve and vessel injuries. The objective of the study is to evaluate the feasibility and accuracy of surgical navigation during colorectal cancer surgery.
