•GHRT is a feasible and well-tolerated intervention for U.S. Veterans with TBI-related AGHD.•Significant improvements following GHRT were demonstrated in key symptoms of AGHD and TBI.•Participants also demonstrated increased body and fat mass following GHRT.•Larger, controlled studies of GHRT in TBI-related AGHD are needed.
