Need analysis of a dietary application among caregivers of patients with disorders of amino acid metabolism (AAMDs): A mixed-method approach

•Currently there is no a reliable web-based application as guidance for the AAMDs’ patients.•Dietary self-management via e-health seems to be feasible given the strong desire to use and positive perceptions from the caregivers.•Features valued by patients' caregivers will be integrated into the design of the application to promote acceptance and usage.
