摘要

•NIR HSI in the range 900–1700 nm can detect Fusarium Head Blight on wheat ears.•Dichotomous classification with PLS-DA models successfully detects infected ears.•Detection of FHB infected ears show a sensitivity of 99.4 % and a specificity of 91.9 %.•Semi-quantitative estimation of the disease severity at ear level is achievable.
