•Comprehensively analyze the texture and composition of feldspar in the newly discovered giant Qongjiagang lithium district.•The research region is characterized by a unique outcrop with continuous changes in lithology along an elevation profile from 4077 m to 5533 m.•Effectively distinguish the ore-bearing properties of different Leucogranites and pegmatites.
