摘要
Purpose: Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most prevalent degenerative disorder in the aging population that can arise from repeated, non-repairable micro-injuries or damage from a major injury. No matter the cause, there are currently no therapies to prevent/slow the degradation of the joint and there are no means to restore injured joint tissues to health. In this project, we conducted a multi-omic evaluation of RNA and protein levels on cartilage from human lower limb joints. We identified the candidate miRNAs that regulate cartilage anabolism and evaluated their role as potential therapeutic targets.
